Variation on HH Orange You Glad Bag

Here is my newest bag. I followed the Orange You Glad pattern in aran and green then used one of the flower pin patterns on the front stitching the stem and leaf. It may be hard to see but the bottom is green so it looks like the flower is coming out of the ground.

 

 

It is lined with simple brown broadcloth.

 

 

After it was done I realized it needed a closure of some kind but all my large snaps have been used so I used some size 10 cotton thread, made a loop and placed a rose shaped shank button on the back of the purse.

Very pretty bag. I had to go back to look at the HH bag as I really couldn't remember it. It really didn't make a great impression but yours.....well that is a totally different story. I'll definitely remember yours!
