STASH BUSTING crochet-along GAME!! ****CLOSED FOR 2007 ****

Went shopping yesterday and came home with 7 skeins of simply soft for Christmas presents to make (-14). I have already used a half skein and am nearly done the first sweater (+1) Combine that with my previous score (+2) this week gives me -11. I doubt I'll get much more busted today (if I do I'll post then).

This weeks score is not looking so good. I just won 9 things of thread from Nght. And bought 5 skeins from joanns. So it looks like I'm already in the running for another shoot the moon.. but the points don't get added the yarn/thread is added to the stash. So hopefully I can use up *alot* of yarn before I get the shipments.

Thanks, but my score is actually 0. I had a -2 before I finished the cheerleaders for my nieces, I used 1/2 skein of green and 1/2 skein of white, which gave me 2 points, so that brought my score to 0. I appreciate the 2 extra points though.

Well, I WAS off to a good start this week....I used up 2 skeins and made a skein into a ball (+5)...but then I saw that WalMart had RHSS on sale, so I had to buy some......I bought 7 skeins to make a afghan for my fiance's ex-step daughter (his ex-wife's daughter from a previous marriage....what will that make her to me when we get married???)....I have a couple more squares to make for this week's football charity thing and then onto the afghan......

I used up 3 skeins so far on my parents christmas afghan. Plus I've used up a skein on a dress for baby Alex. so +8 for the week so far! I'm off to a good start. But will probably be getting 28 points worth of yarn/thread in the mail soon... so I better keep busting.

Just finished another skein tonight. This time on my ME project.

I bought 3 skeins at Wal-Mart today so -6 and tomorrow I'm going to JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby so the damage might not be done yet but I should finish a skein tomorrow for 2 points so maybe it won't be so bad.

 

 

I think I need to hunt some yarn up to gift on the RAOK to make some room here.

In the last 2 days I've sent out 43 skeins of yarn/thread from ebay sales, and used up 1 skein of Bernat Softee Chunky on another scarf & 1½ skeins of Wiggles on finishing my RR... so that's +91

 

BUT, my order from Herrschners finally came in... this isn't gonna be pretty!! I'm gonna leave the + score until I open my boxes & make sure everything's there. Besides, it won't be + for long

I seem to be moving slowly this week. I'm making a really pretty large shawl/wrap thing for a gift exchange and due to the color switching, no skeins have been taken care of yet! I also ordered 5 cones and 2 balls of cotton from Elmore-Pisgah for Christmas stockings. Hopefully that'll come soon!!

I busted a skein today but bought another skein to replace it in my stash so that cancels each other out and I'm still at -6. Hopefully when I get my WIPs organized I'll start busting through somemore and be in the positives this week.
