Crinoline Lady Crazy

Ok, a few of you wanted to see the doily crinoline lady, I did make a few changes, this is my progress so far,

I don't have easy access to #30 thread so I used # 10 and a #7 hook. I stopped after row 11 b/c the doily was getting big! Then picked up again in the pattern where the chains come in the design. The doily is laid across my scanner, so that shows you how big it is, the doll pieces seem to be ok shape wise, will have to see. I'll post more photos as I get more done. :hook

Ok. I have wanted to do these for such a long time, and I finally ordered a pattern from Crochet Memories . com and I absolutely love them!!! The First one I gave to my Mom, the second one I put onto a fleece baby blankie for a lady at church who is expecting, and the third I did today, I just said a prayer and jumped right in. I didn't have a pattern, I did use my recent experience from the other two for an idea on how to shape this one, the first 2 are about 9" and the blue one is about 5" maby 6". Here you go!

Yep, I like that one too. The first one I ordered is the Easter Girl one, (did up in the peach and then the white on the origional links) and the one I just ordered is the Red and Purple one on the link. She has great patterns, they are easy to read and are very beautiful. I can hardly wait to get the second one.;)

Wow! I had no idea you could do a crinoline lady in so many different patterns- the Spring lady is nice, so is the Easter one... No wonder you are Crinoline Lady Crazy! :lol

:hook My mom hand sews fabric ones to pillows, and I always liked them, so naturally I thought I was in heaven when I saw crocheted ones. I am going to try the vintage one you posted. I really like that it is vintage. I have 2 boys, so crochet is the only thing I get to do in a girly way, ( no offence to you great guys who crochet! which is awesome by the way!)

You did a wonderful job! I have an original pattern book of the Crinoline Lady. I don't do much thread, so I never tried it. I did do the ring bearers pillow from Crochet Memories for my DDs wedding. It came out great!
