Orchid Fingerless Gloves

Here's the story:

 

After I finished another project, I had leftover yarn (imagine that! ) Plus, my hands were always FREEZING while using my computer at work. So I decided to make myself some fingerless gloves to keep at my desk. (You would not believe the funny looks I get when people come up to my cube!) Anyway, at first I tried a pattern I had found on the Internet, but they came out WAY too small. So I came up with my own pattern; they didn't come out perfectly-perfect, but it could have been a lot worse

 

By the way... I found out it's REALLY hard to use yourself as a hand model for gloves when one of your hands is wearing a glove, and the other hand is holding the camera! At least my fingernails are clean

 

Oh, and I used Caron Simply Soft in Orchid.

great gloves! they look really soft. I like that they aren't bulky so they won't hinder your movements (at the computer!!). pretty colour too!

I never thought about fingerless glove for workng on the computer! That is a very good idea, my hands alway get very cool when I am working on the computer too, I think that I will need to make a pair

Those are REALLY cute! I love the way you did the stitches side to side 'cause fingerless glove patterns seem to usually be stitched length-wise - very pretty.... (and you have lovely hands, too!)

Great job on the fingerless gloves. I wouldn't mind making a pair of these for myself. You do have beautiful hands, but I didn't see any freckles. Besides the could blend freckles out anyway. You should try to be a hand model.
