Felted Tote Bag

Now that my Fall Tote Swap partner has received her bag and goodies, I can post a picture of my very first felted item!

 

This was knit and felted, but the felting process is the same so I hope it's still acceptable

 

Here is the finished bag before felting ~

 

Measures 17" tall, 15" wide, 5" deep

 

 

After felting ~

 

Measures 12" tall, 11" wide, 4" deep

 

 

 

As you can see, I didnt care much for the cord across the flap after felting so I added a magnetic snap to the bottom of the flap, then felted a flower with a wooden button to sew over the top of the snap. I like the flower look much better!

 

Very VERY easy felting process.

Wow that is cute, it came out great. I like the additions. Good Job. Haven't felted anything yet. I don't own a washing machine, so it is hard to monitor the temp and stuff in a publich machine. I know it can also be done by hand but I haven't done that either.
