Thanks you guys. He was fun and challenging because I wanted him to have that "pumpkin ribbing" and not just look like and orange ball you know? Anyway, once I worked up one panel (it took me a couple of hours and lots of frogging before I liked it) it was a breeze. He looks a little more "freaked out" than I originally intended, but whateva! I can play around with the facial features when I make the next one. I do like the overall shape though. And I can mess around with it so that there is a removable lid too. Oh, the possibilities are endless!

 

So Beth, I guess a bag of crocheted eyeballs is not what you'd like for Christmas??? LOL
