Waffle Stitch Scarf

This is the waffle stitch scarf I just finished crocheting for my son for Christmas. The yarn is Lion Brand Wool Ease oxford grey.

I'll bet that is very warm! I have a book somewhere that has several waffle weave patterns in it. I have meant to give it a try but we don't need things to be quite so "thermal" in Florida. Still, the chilliness of some of these past evenings may have changed my mind on that! The older I get the less I can tolerate the cold. Nothing like crochet to cozy up with when you're cold!
