Hello everyone! My name is Darlisa Riggs and I live in Texas City, TX, which is between Houston and Galveston. I work full time as a Technical Services Specialist on the Space Station Program here in Houston and work part-time as an independent contractor for DAZ Productions (http://www.daz3d.com) in Draper, Utah. In my spare time, I crochet, weave, make Hardanger lace, make Ukrainian Easter Eggs (pysanky), sew, cross stitch, paint nested dolls, and am a digital artist. I also make items for an online charity group, AllCrafts4Charity.org and spend time in the online game, Until Uru.

I'm currently working on a filet crochet curtain for my dining area. The pattern matches the design of a table runner I'm weaving for a class.

I do have a gallery where I upload my artwork and craft items, although none of them are crocheted items:

And here are some of the crocheted items I've done for AC4C:

My mother tried to teach me to knit when I was younger but it didn't take. Around 1994 or 95, a friend gave me a doily for my birthday that she had crocheted. I decided to teach myself to crochet and the rest is history. My sister wants to learn how to knit, so I bought a kit to learn and will then teach her how.

I usually learn how to do things on my own and have also taught myself to cross stitch and make pysanky and Hardanger lace. My next lessons will be in making bobbin lace.

I guess that's pretty much it.

Darlisa, I am on the Other side of Houston, if you were to go SW on Hwy 59 to Victoria...I am in Richmond, Texas. LOVE NASA, and am enjoying looking at your sites. The daz3d site is really interesting...tried to find out more about it. Is this a Game site?

best,

rothy
