Finally something finished! Afghans

I finally got out of my slump and quit trying to make a round ripple blankie and went simple. I made this for my cousin and his wife who are expecting at the end of August. The shower is next weekend and I cannot attend. I was pleased with the results and my son said he wants one form the same colors. I told him I would make him a new blanket to go in his new room when we move, and now we're going to take the yellow and green from the afghan to paint his room!

The smaller one is for the car seat. I always hated dragging a blanket alng because the whole thing would never stay in the seat.

I forgot, it's TLC essentials and I can't remember the colors right now!

That's pretty! I really like the idea of a coordinating blankie for the car seat. That's something I've never thought of.

I have one of those kids, too! Anything I make - she wants one for herself (preferably the one that is already made, forcing me to make another! lol)

Really like the blankets. I just love doing the "granny" pattern. Easy and you don't have to count. Also, so many variations.
