I've ordered before, and will again; especially when I get back to my little corner of NC where there's only one Michaels for 50 miles or more. I get spoiled when I'm near several chain craft stores and a few lys here in NJ.

OMGoodness! What a great place to work! If I worked there I'd always be broke and I'd constantly be bringing home loads of stuff! :lol It must take an enormous amount of discipline for a crochetier to work there!

I would get in trouble if I worked there. I just got a big order from them. Well, big for me anyway. 2 doll kits(Christmas and Halloween), Turkey placemat kit and a sequine calendar (Angel).

They do have some nice stuff and nice prices for their kits.:hook

I order from them as well. Wouldn't it be great to work someplace like that... I have often thought it would be a fun place to work once I retire from my present job. I would love to teach other people our craft.

I have ordered there too. Mostly it depends on what is on sale, shipping charges, etc. when I do place online orders. I've always been happy with the MM service.

The reason I like MM is because I can send the order with a cheque and they take it :eek I don't do online.

I was just thinking that my last order should be just about due to arrive. :rofl

I get their catalog and really enjoy looking through it, but I think their shipping costs are a bit high. I was going to order the collapse-able footstool from them, but it was almost $8 to ship a $19.99 item. I ordered the identical thing from a different retailer for almost half the shipping cost.:shrug

I agree about the shipping charges. It is probably a good thing because I would probably be buying from them all the time. I would be living in a dream world working there.

I am sitting down tonight and ordering the glow in the dark yarn. It is on Sale. Something different from a grandma who loves to create things to cherish.

Yes it is wonderful to work there also yes I do have to keep myself from going overboard.....sometimes I just leave all my money at home!!! Are the shipping and handling charges really that high? I had always thought they were quite comparable. I am working with the Bernat Glow in the Dark right now....did not leave the cash home that day lol!!! I am curious to see how the glow stands up during washing!!!

I may have taken some of your orders.....I answer the phones and key the mail orders!!! Thanks for all the feedback!!

I don't find the charges to bad, as I order from a place here in Florida and the shipping charges start at $8.00.

The shipping I do not mind, if it does not take forever to get the product.

If you have any input, it would be nice to know if they are holding the shipment, due to something backordered in your order.

I like Mary Maxim and would not hesitate to use them again or refer them.:hook

I've ordered from them (& soon to do another order) they ship fast, which is a plus, I think their shipping is reasonable, compared to other places I have ordered things from....& they ship to Alaska without a hassle, which is fantastic!

Pretty much, I love the clearance section, that is where I go crazy. Also if they do not have the kit in the color you want, they will make it up right there for you. If you don't live too far it is worth the trip. I live 3 hours away from Port Huron and we have been known to drive up, eat lunch somewhere, walk around the beautiful city of Port Huron, go to Mary Maxim and drive home. Once we went over into Canada and went to the casino. Nice day trip and we come home with lots of :yarn:yarn:yarn:yarn. :hook

I see they are having their annual Tent Sale til Sept 8th too so Im thinking Labor Day weekend is a good day to go! I may be able to meet up with my Aunt from Bad Axe too. I only live about 40 mins from there so I think I need to check it out. :lol

I have ordered from there too. I had my eye on the sportweight cotton cones for along time. Hubby let me order 6 for Mother's Day.:yay

Ok, I have seen that several times and always wondered if it is truly sport weight? It looks like #10 thread. I LOVE sport weight cotton and will buy several if it is. thanks
