Spoon angels

These two patterns are found on the freepatterns.com site. They are fun & easy to make. I used Royale #10 pearl metallic for these - it gives a lovely sheen to the finished angel.

 

If you Google "wooden ice cream spoons" you will find several vendors, or they are often found at bird supplies sites.

Those are really nice! I like how you they are different patterns. I once made a cross stitch angel from a kit and it used a clothespin for the doll part. THe wooden spoons are a great idea!

As a child just a few years back (yeah right, another century is more like it) I remember larger ones of these done in 4 ply yarn on large wooden kitchen spoons. Anyone have that pattern? Also I remember the same sort of hat style but it was crocheted around a plastic face. Anyone know what I mean? now that I have dated myself beyond repair ......ha ha
