towards the the hooks your DH made you with glee

 

 

What we at The 'ville know about these hooks

are that they are comfy and have all the looks

 

We are not only jelous for these hooks, we see

but also that you got them without one little fee

 

Yet it tears at our hearts to know he's away

but its nice you're with us till he's home to stay :dreaming

 

 

We'll know DH is home since no more we will see

of you for awhile... hmm... fiddle dee dee ~~

 

 

But once you return to your friends at the 'ville

Maybe DH will be willing to have orders to fill?

 

 

If not, that is fine, a busy man he may be

But know that his work is truely on key

yes to all of you he does make them and sell or he can make custom ones as well. When he gets home I will ask everyone about orders on them..........

And as for your questions yes occasionally like once/twice a week I get to talke to him on the puter. We can send packages and letters and pics. Also once or twice a month we get to have a 15 min phone call that is unless the phones won't play that day and he just tries again. The places he goes he doesn't always have access to phone lines for a computer.

Now I see the wife's ploy, saying she is just showing hers off

She is trying to get us to make a big payoff!

 

When DH is home she will put him to work

She'll take all our money and what is really the quirk?

 

She'll go to the store and the yarn she will buy

to put away again when DH is in the sky

 

Then she will see that we all do not care

since we too have the hooks that DH makes so fair

 

We understand how hard it can be

to be alone and raising boys 1, 2, 3

 

So put down our names and tell DH it will seem

on vacation he is now and rightly he will deem

 

That when he gets home he'll be busy as a bee

since he will have orders of at least one hundred and three!

I ADORE all your hooks he made you, and must admit, I drooled...lol...

I use mine that you so generously asked him to make me as a rescue ranger last year, and it is by FAR my favorite thread hook!! I hope I never wear the hook part off..lol..then I may need his help putting in another hook in that wonderful handle!!

I just made my first wooden hook (an N) this past weekend. I'm just about finished with a lapghan using it. I thought it was pretty impressive until I saw yours. Between your husband's and Jimbo's, I've got a long way to go....

 

I do love the feel of the wooden hook. It's also lighter than the aluminum N I have.

I, too, am a lucky recipient of Nikki's Hubby's hooks! Its a size K and I absolutely love it...hate to use anything else and love to find projects that need a K hook! He also generously made one for my SP this round and all I can say is STUNNING! Hope everything is going well with you and yours, Nikki...Im thinking of you all!

My heart goes out to you cuz I know how hard it is! It always seems that the happy ones are separated way too much! I pray for his safe return soon and that the phones will work for you!
