I'm Falling For You .......................

Hi there folks …… :welcome

A bunch of our loyal CAL buddies from all over the area have been thinking about a neat new idea for the Fall . Since a lot of us are in multiple groups, I’m trying to tie up some of the loose ends and put everyone in here for this new one , rather than chasing around to 7 different CAL’s 40 times a day . :lol

For our new CAL, we’d like to welcome any of you all “budding designers “ to try your hand at designing a crocheted Quilt pattern with a Fall theme .

There are lots of possibilities. Fall colors, leaves, pumpkins, hayrides, barns, Halloween , etc. The ideas are endless .

Have you always wanted to try making up your own pattern ? We ask that it be in a Quilt-type format, which would mean granny squares placed in a pattern to make a fall design .

It could be any size .

For those designers, you would be in charge of the people’s questions regarding your pattern.

I will start this ,then will turn it over to Donna (sewnsew) who graciously offered her services .I know she will do a wonderful job of it .:manyheart

I think this would be great fun and the ideas are endless.

Sept.1st will be the actual Start Date .

Feel free to post questions, comments, ideas you may have anytime between now and then .

Feel free to start your design ideas now .

The CAL will remain open as long as there is interest in continuing it .

Who’s in ?:D

This is going to be so much fun. I have a couple ideas and am thinking of designing my own Halloween pictureghan. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Julie, sounds like you'll be ready just in time for the crocheting to begin. :)

Hey Leslie and Heather.

Leslie I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Heather, I'm not too good at it either but it will be fun to try something new. I'm sure it'll be okay. Especially since we will all be able to help each other if we get stuck on our design :yes. That's one really nice thing about our groups. We are all willing and able to help each other out.

I have a quilt design, but I need to dig it out and see if it suits the fall theme. If so, I will test it out and see if it's any good. :)

Anyone know of a good freeware where I can paint colors in grids and post the design on the thread?

Well, I wish you luck with it. Sorry I don't have any tips to help. I have to have a pattern directly in front of me and can't even figure out how to change an afghan pattern if I want it bigger or smaller, so I know I won't be good at designing anything .

I have lots of pretty Fall pictures in my head that'd make pretty afghans, but no way to put them on paper.

I'm sure some of you all will come up with some real pretty ones .

Yea,Wendy

If I ever went to confession, they could grow the wheat, harvest it, make the dough handmade, grow the tomatoes and make the sauce ,use well AGED cheese ,kill the pepperoni to make the meat ( WHAT ANIMAL DOES PEPPERONI COME FROM ???????)

and bake enough pizzas for your country.

I MIGHT be done with confession by then .

Hey Judy

I'm ok .

The storm blew over, but supposed to be more today all day. We didnt have rain all summer, but the last week it has been almost nonstop. Our basement is wet this morning from the downpour .

I aint afraid of storms, but thought it might blow up my computer-- now THAT would be a tragedy .
