Blue Shawl

This is my first full size shawl being modelled by my daughter and grandaughter. I still have to thread the loose yarn in.

Wondering if maybe it needs an edging, shell or similar, what do you think?

That is a great shawl. The color is stunning! I also would do an edging. Shells would be nice... or maybe something a little more unique and lacy. I just recently purchased Crocheting on the Edge and it's got some great patterns for edgings.

Gorgeous color! I always think a border gives it a finished look...like you went the extra mile. Even just a little single crochet with picots would give it a nice edge. I, too, often consult my Crocheting on the Edge book. I only wish it gave a little advice on turning corners.

Let us know what you decide about the edge. Is it for you or for one of your happy models?

That is a nice looking shawl!! Love the color!! I made a shawl similar to that. I added fringe. Bit if I had to do it over again I would do a shell edging. Great job!!:)
