Doilies for Mom

YAY! I've finally finished a project on my WIPs list. I've been working on a few extensive, time-consuming but worth-it items, but I felt the need to actually complete something, so I worked on the doilies for my mom, who lives over 700 miles away. I'll see her the first week in April, so I wanted to get these done.

 

I had one I was working on, but didn't like, so I frogged it. Then I ran across this pattern in the book "Wishes and Wonders" that I got from Annies Attic. It was quick, easy, and the result was really pretty. I made her two so far; debating on making a set of four.

Probably not, though I agree. Different colors would be fun. But my mom's living room is done in most reds, which is usually the color she requests when I'm making her doilies. Maybe I should find out what color her bedroom is and make a matching set for it.

Yes, it does, although not knowing I was making these, she just requested a doily done in ecru for her bedroom.

LOL, tlisley--there's no graduating to it...not really. If you can crochet with yarn, you can crochet with thread. Just takes a little getting used to.
