I started with this pattern, but it's pretty majorly modified. I used Lion Jiffy and a G hook. I followed the pattern for a 2, but because of the changes it came out more like a 4. I thought a hood would've been to thick, and I didn't think the pocket was necessary. I did the sleeves differently too. I just attached at the bottom of the armhole and worked them in rounds. Since I didn't intend to add the stripes to them anyway, I figured that would be easier. It's very thick and the stitches are quite tight, so I think it should keep him plenty warm.

Very cool! It sure likes he loves it. I agree that the neckline is really a nice touch. I don't think you need the stripes on the sleeves, that might just be overkill :P

With the stitches being nice and tight, I'm sure it'll take whatever that little guy will put it through (and I'm sure he can put it through a lot)!

Thanks guys, I actually haven't made many sweaters either. This is just the second one that isn't a baby sweater, and the first that wasn't one piece. I'm very happy with it and the neckline is nice because it makes it fit over it head easily and doesn't make the neck hole too big. Today I decided to make a hat to match to use up the rest of the yarn, can't wait to see the two together.

Thanks again for all the kind words!
