teapot doily

Here is a picture of my first attempt to make a teapot doily for an ornament. It is actually too big and the thread is too large, so I am trying again with #10 thread. Thanks to crochetsal for sending me her attempt at making one and it is a keeper!!

Wow that is nice, I like it!! I could probably imatate it.

I usually crochet by looking @ something & then I make it.

However, sometimes I follow directions & it is harder that way: seeing as how I've learned to do it by sight & measurement. I've croched since I was 10 years old, my German babysitter taught me per my request.
