My beautiful niece models the blue CurlyWhirly Scarf created from shades of blue worsted-weight wool. She 'might' wear it, but prefers her scarves a bit less 'flashy'....they're all the rage in Europe at the moment!

Thanks for all the kudos....this scarf is a testament to the wisdom of

storing stash yarns by color! I've tried so many different organization

techniques, but when I sorted my materials by color, my creativity soared!

Thanks for the 'different' curly scarf pattern. The blue scarf was modelled on a free pattern offered by Mary Louise Quick from England. Hers was originally made from Rowan Kidsilk Haze and edged with Rowan Kidsilk Spray:

I used a variety of worsted-weight wools, with Mary Louise's pattern as a guide. Once you get started, it's a very easy technique: you crochet a base row, then add increasingly more stitches onto each succeeding row until you're happy with it! Very flexible and easy to modify.;)
