I made this as a sample for my girlfriend who is getting married in Novemeber and asked me to make them for all the women in her bridal party...I've just sent it out to her and will be getting started on all those leaves & flowers really soon!!

now that I actually got off my tush and did it, I know it's no where near as much sewing as I thought it would be...and the pieces all work up really quickly, and I have almost exactly a year til the wedding, so I've got the time to put it off a few times before doing it LOL!! Right now, I've got all the cotton together and will be starting on the pieces soon...all I need are the head measurements of the gals who will be wearing them and I'm good to go!!!

Lisa...it really did work up very quickly...I had all the parts made within about a week's time but I kept putting off the sewing it all together part of the project for a rediculous amount of time...and then I've had it totally completed for about 2 months now and I just sent it out to my girlfriend on Monday..I've been really bad about this one...but I'd think you have enough time to work one up for her!! And if you do beading at all, you can make give it a little sparkle by putting a pretty bead in the center of each flower when you sew them on...my mom will be doing that for the wedding for me LOL!!

Beautiful headpiece, I've often looked at that pattern but thought it was too tricky - now I know maybe it's not :) Lovely of you to do this for your friend.
