If you are gonna make a gahn with the sqs and send it to the charity listed for Jan. then yes!

Ladies remember we focus on one charity a month so the focus right now is for January

tracyleigh is taking items for the childrens hospital near her.

Also remember that when you sugest a charity when that month comes around you have agreed to take the items and distribute them or give the info for the charity!

Re January's charity....PM me for my mailing address and I will package everything up and have it delivered to the Hospital.

 

They are in need of baby afghans (36" x 36"), preemie hats. I was also thinking of teddy bears, and I really like the link that was posted earlier with the granny square teddy bears.

no, there isn't a max amount, you may send as many items as you want. What we want to do is have each person set aside a day a week to crochet for charity. That way if you have other crocheting commitments we are realistic with out goals. I always crochet on Mondays for Charity...that is my cool down period after hockey weekends.

For january I am going to make some of Kristie's toys using safety eyes. I think they are adorable and unique.

there are 13 of us so far

figure this if each participant does 10 items a month thats 130 items for each charity.

Now I am a readlistic person and know that some do more or less but hey 10 seems like a great goal. But please there are no amount rules at all send 1 send 100 send 1000 what ever you send is a help and one item less the person has to make on their own.

For Jan I am doing premie hats and IV covers.

I have made 5 hats so far. I plan on making more as well as some teddies and a maybe a couple of kristieMN's little mouse toys or a blanket or two, but i will wait to send them until after christmas.

Question... Do we need to wash the items before we send them, or will they be washed all together? Just wondering. I have a baby, so I have DREFT soap to wash the hats that I make with if I need to. Thanks!
