Another question :D!

When traveling or waiting (like in a doctor's office), what do you use to carry your crochet in? Tote bags, plastic bag, or maybe a crochet bag?

I have a couple of totes I use. When they're full with other wip's I grab a plastic bag. Anything that'll carry my yarn, thread and scissors.

I really want one of these:

Tote

But I think that's terribly expensive.

Backpack or a big Lands end bag I got when we got a free trip to Hawaii from hubby's job.Or if the project is small just stuff it in my purse.

Alas... I have no tote currently and just carry my WIP in a grocery or large zipper bag. People look at me funny, but I don't know it if it's because they don't know what I'm doing, or because of my bag. :D!

I have a Vera Bradley Villager bag in the Chanticleer (Roosters) pattern. I get teased because I love chickens/roosters.

It's perfect because it's big enough for a project and a few skeins of yarn. It has lots of pockets on the inside and a pocket on the outside so I can carry my gear plus keys/wallet/cell phone.

I usually have my WIP in a canvas tote bag (I have about three bags, from old book club membership "gifts"). I used to carry it in a plastic grocery bag, but it would always, sooner or later, get a hole in the bag and I'd lose things. I always take along a project whenever we are going anywhere I might have to "wait". Car pool is my favorite time of day (my time to crochet.) :)

I use this little plastic case my mom got for me from the dollar store. It's perfect because there's a place up top for all of my hooks, small scissors, cocoa butter and lotion, and a few other goodies, as well as a compartment below for small projects. I'm thinking about getting another one specifically to keep in the car.

I usually carry it around in a vintage silk carpet bag? that belonged to dh's grandmother. Its greenish jaquard print w/ wooden handles. Carrying it around in a plastic dollar store bag just doesn't do the craft justice.

I carry my wip in a nylon bag that I made years ago when I was a 4-H leader with sewing. Works wonderful and has lasted thru many different projects!

I have various projects in different Vera Bradley bags all over the house, so I can just grab one and go.( I sort of have an addiction to vera Bradley, luckily they are made right here and they have an outlet sale everyyear!:bad )

But my hubby also bought me this bag for Christmas that I'm just loving!www.cafepress.com/marniemaclean.14654922

i have 2 sizes of CraftStor totes/boxes. if i am going out in public, i take the little one. if i am going to my friend's house i take the big one (i'll be there longer and it holds big projects that i wouldn't want to drag out while in a waiting room or at the park). CraftStor tote

The totes sold at cafepress.com are fabulous for carrying around crochet projects. The bag has a good wide depth to it, and the handles are extra long so it is really comfortable to carry over your shoulder.

I have this one. (Thanks Mom!)

Here's one from Crochetme.

I usually carry my projects in a quilted tote bag I made. This morning I printed out the tote bag that Cadie mentioned. That is my project for tomorrow while my daughter is having chemo. I don't like to take big projects there. I figure this will be just right!! Looks like it does not require alot of counting and that is what I need when I am there with all the talking going on. (don't want to miss anything :blah )

For travel, I carry things around in a tote I got from Target a while back. It's got sequins sewn on the front, which are falling off, so I keep finding little blue sequins all over the place. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a velcro close, and I tend to get the yarn stuck against the velcro. I'm searching for a new bag of some sort. I'm considering crochetting something, I just can't decide.
