Tiger Stripe Hat

My son's swim meets begin at 6:30am! on Sat. mornings so he needs something to keep him warm until the sun heats everything up. His team is called the Tiger Sharks and their suits have black & orange stripes. I mixed Caron SS Mango with a darker orange Red HeartSS and then 2 pieces of black Caron SS held together. I wanted the colors to look more tigerish than Halloween-y, I'm hoping mixing the oranges helps. It's a basic hat with spike stiches in the upper rows and Front Post Doubles in the lower row. The camera flash washed out the FPCD texture but they make a nice cable IRL . He likes it; and now the little sister's want some too, I think I'll add ears for my 3yo, since she's saying "I want a kitty hat".
