I made my friend John Tom a blanket

I made my friend John Thomas a blanket for his 24th birthday last weekend. I made it camouflage colors because he is in the marines.

That turned out really nice! I have been playing with that camo yarn everytime I go in the shops, you have inspired me to get some! I really like it! Did you make 12" granny squares? Your a very good friend, he looks like he truly loves it .

I never really measured them, but they're 12 rows and then a row of the green lol (it probably is about a foot)

 

I wish I took a picture of the blanket before I gave it to him, I'm gonna have to have him bring it over so I can take a picture of the whole thing.

I love the camo yarn - I made my son an earflap hat out of it and now he wants me to make more stuff... he asked for boxers, but I think I'd want to use something like microspun for boxers, not a WW...

Thats a really neat camo afghan! And kudos to your friend for serving! (my dh does as well!) You've inspired me to try some camo too! Almost makes me wish I hadn't given up my "warm the troops" program I'd started...almost! LOL

That is so nice. The perfect guy blanket.

My daughter just had a baby girl on March 3rd. My son-in-law hunts so I made them a "daddy blanket" out of the camo yarn with a white ruffle on it. Also made a little camo stocking cap. He loved it.
