Hello All,

I'm Joan crocheting in Phoenix. My crochet history extends back half a century (very young, then). Mostly I work in thread, though I will use yarn on occasion. This board looks like a good place to visit.

Welcome, Joan! I'm always excited to learn of more crocheters in AZ. Seems as though there aren't as many crocheters in the west as there were in the midwest. Did I see some of your work possibly at the State Fair this past fall? I talked to someone there quite a while about the rules of entering, etc. Where do you buy most of your thread?

I may have been in the booth when you were there, but I haven't been able to work up the courage to enter anything. Most of the thread work on display in the booth, however, is probably mine.

Most of my thread comes from Herrschners and eBay. Craftmart carries DMC in a few colors. I brought a large cache with me when I moved here from New Hampshire, seven years ago. And I went "slightly" overboard at Lacis when I was in Berkeley last year.
