New to Crochetville, but not to crochet

I've been crocheting for a little over a decade. I abandoned it for awhile as I got overloaded and couldn't devote times to hobbies (a dissertation and 2 babies), but am taking it up again. It's a particularly useful hobby for me since I recently moved to upstate NY from Los Angeles. Before that, I lived in Houston, so there was little use for the things I would crochet.

 

Currently, I'm making the ColorWaves Topper by Doris Chan featured in Interweave Crochet 2005. Afterwards, I hope to make a pink sweater for my DD who is 3. Just recently, I finished a HP scarf for DS who is 5, and the hairpin lace cardigan from Stitch Diva.

 

I hope to pick up tips and ideas here as well as being able to ask advice.

welcome to crochetville. i hear it's rather cold right this very moment in upstate NY! hope you and yours are staying warm.

 

 

it's sounds like you have plenty of projects to keep you busy, i look forward to seeing them when posted.
