I found it to be pretty easy but if you want to practice the basic stitches work up her shells and chain scarf (it is a free pattern) and then go for the shawl.

Thank you everyone and 3 of these shawls have found homes already (the top 2 and the left in the 2nd row) I am thinking of donating the other 3 to my churches youth group basket auction at the end of the month.

Wow! You have been BUSY! That is a lot of crocheting and I love them all! If I had to pick a favorite it would be the last one -- White Ice! I love shawls! Tey are really just right for Florida where a heavy winter coat is rarely ever necessary. We do have our chilly days though and having a shawl to toss around your shoulders is just right!
