Hello there! :waving

 

I have been lurking on this forum for some time now, so I figured I would sign up and start posting.

 

I have been crocheting for about 10 years now...had a couple of girls show me the basics (chain, sc, dc) and from there I just kinda taught myself.

 

I like to make afghans in the winter for X-mas presents, but here in Cali its too hot to work on those big ol' things in the summer! lol

 

I like to make purses and hair scarves a lot....just this week I ventured into the world of thread (#10, F hook, made a really cool hair scarf!) and also fulling/felting. First attempt, it will probably be horrible, but at least its fun!

 

I'm hoping to join in on some crochet-alongs with you guys sometime soon.....:knit

 

BTW...great smilies!

 

There is even one for me! lol :hen

Hello and :welcome from NC. Have you tryed doing squares in the summer and then piecing them to make the afgahan. Not so big and hot to work with.
