Hello everyone,

 

I'm from Richmond, Virginia and am very excited to have found your awesome forum! I've only been crocheting for about 4 months now, but have fallen completely in love with it.

It all started when my boyfriend & I went to our friends' house for dinner one evening. While we were hanging out in the family room and listening to some tunes, their teenaged daughter pulled out a blanket she was making. Being a curious person by nature, I asked her to show me exactly what she was doing with that hook & yarn... it turned out what she was doing was a double crochet stitch!

 

Well, since that fateful day I've learned a bunch of stitches and have made 3 scarves, 2 cell phone cases, an iPod cozy, and 2 felted purses. Now I want to try my hand at a capelet or shrug...

 

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to getting ideas & tips from the rest of the Crochetville gang, and hearing about other people's projects.
