Placemat from Rose Red

Hello All,

I wanted to get this picture up. It is from Rose Red's Blog, Inspired Crochet Design. It is her Pizza Tray Trivet pattern. You can find it if you click on the 2008 archive and page down a bit.

 

 

I did make one modification from what Rose Red did, I added row 15 of the pattern using only two dc instead of three because three made the placemat ruffle. I then added a row of single crochet.

 

I have made two so far and have not pressed them because my family is using them already and apparently we are just not placemat people . Everytime we eat we seem to spill, splatter or splash something on them and I have to wash them again. So they will remain as they are now. I am working on number three right now and have reversed the colors. I am using the peaches and cream green verigated for the pinwheel portion and the cream for the edging.

 

I've had alot of fun working these up. The pattern is very easy to follow and they work up very quickly. These are on my Favorites list for sure.
