Betty Boop pillow

I have been wanting to try a graph-ghan for a while now. I thought it best to start out with a small project, however, so my Betty pillow was born!

Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't bad going. Being a perfectionist though, I didn't really like the lack of definition to the piece. So, I just "yarn embroidered" over the areas that I felt needed a little help! I added a sewn back for easy removal that is white with little black roses on it.

I think I will stick with little projects as doing the yarn embroidery really isn't an option with an afghan if I want the back to look neat.

All said and done, I really love my new Betty pillow!

It's lovely :) Just remember, with any embroidery the back should look like the front only in reverse ;)

Thanks everyone! I am thinking of trying my hand at another pillow but with Tinkerbell on it this time. I like the little projects for this type of crochet. I think I might get overwhelmed with a large project.
