Flower Garden Pillow & roses *updated

I have a friend who is having surgery today and it was pretty short notice so I had to get something done quickly over the weekend. This is what I ended up with.

A pillow called Flower Garden pillow that I found here http://www.freepatterns.com/list.html?cat_id=317

 

and some roses using this pattern http://megan.kiwi.gen.nz/StripMethodRose/ you have to page down to see the pattern, but it is there! My daughter painted the pot for me.

 

Forgot to put this in! The back of the pillow is totally different, but the colors tie in. when reading the pattern you sort of expect the back to be the same as the front...so it surprised me!

That is perfect for someone who has to be stuck inside for awhile, and very useful too! It's bright and cheery, very nicely done. I don't know if it is cold where you live, but here we keep having snow and freezing temps - I'd be happy to see some flowers!

Sorry I was trying to quickly go and get the gorgeous pattern I forgot to say I love the flowers too. I think the vase is beautifully painted. You must both be very creative and clever.
