Shoe Vamps?

I have a pair of shoes with interchangeable tops. Once I got over my fear of hammering heavy duty snaps, it was easy to crochet my own tops to match an outfit. OH, the possibilities!!!

What a great idea! Did you do that yourself? I mean, were they a pair of shoes that you cut the original top off and then made your own? I've never seen anything like those. The possibilities are endless. I would love to make a pair. Care to share the pattern?

Thanks for the encouragement. The shoes are called Onesole and yes, they have a website. The pattern is simply single crochet on a foundation chain of 40. I decreased at beginning of every row (don't ask) 1 - 11. Rows 12 - 14 had no decrease. Came out a bit big, so I wove in some clear elastic on the underside, bound the sides with double fold bias tape, then hammered in the heavy duty snaps. Voila! Shoe vamps.

Thanx for the info on the Onesole web site. I love your idea and may have to order a pair. What a great idea on both the soles and the crocheted tops. Thanx again!
