I Finally Got Around to Making One...chic on the halfshell purse

It takes me a while sometimes... But I finally made The Crochet Dude's 'Chic on the Halfshell' purse. I finished it today; all except maybe a button and loop and/or a snap on the inside.

And the lining I sewed in today.... I just basically traced my purse onto a piece of printer paper, then cut it out. Then folded some muslin in half, cut it out. Sewed it together...

 

 

I don't know if I want to give this as a gift (and make another one for me), or keep it... It would be the perfect size to take to work, since I don't take a lot with me; just my lipstick and keys basically. (Until I get around to getting a locker...)

 

Here it is with the button I just sewed on to it today, and a loop.

Oh, I forgot to mention... I gave this purse to a little girl in my sons' classroom. (We are friends with their parents, too...) I saw her carrying it around, so I think she liked it.
