Afghan in honor of Chase

salos

Recommended Posts

Salos - glad to hear it got there. It's a variation of the squares from Crochet Kim's angel afghan; her's was the prettiest angel design I could find. I really enjoyed (if you can say that about an afghan like this) making it in Chase's memory.

I know, Tiga. It seems strange to find pleasure in making something when it's connected with a loss. I think it's okay, though, because love is what lasts. :hug

Worm, thanks for letting me know what you made. I'm sure they're beautiful. I've seen your squares before. :)

Aelita and Worm, your packages arrived. Thanks and thanks again.

I've started assembling the squares. I had to order more yarn so there might me a short delay in finishing it, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Friends, Mizduck received the box last night. I ended up making two ghans because there were so many beautiful squares. Here's a note she posted for us: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?p=754737#post754737

Here are the photos:

Each afghan has an angel square in it, and I made a chart to show who made each square. The yellow borders stand for Chase's halo. :angel

I also had a few extra squares that I used with some of mine to make these snuggies for the Ugandan project:

Those are surely two of the most gorgeous ghans I've ever seen. Everyone's squares are just incredible and Salos- your talent for joining is astounding, I am not worthy! i'm not worthy! You should take a big :bow !!!

I think its' so touching too that the extra squares are being used for snuggle blankies. . .where is the kleenex!!!

You can never run out of inspirational people to read about when you read these forums that's for sure!
