My britches.. Kitchen dishclothes

This is my take on the Kitchen Britches.. Its funny how you've been making things for years and then you see that someone else has been making them a different way and both are beautiful.

CPC has a pattern and the 2 poems under Kitchen Britches. These are really cute. It is nice to see that you could use a different pattern for the wash cloths.

Don't get excited,

Don't be misled.

These aren't for you,

But our dishes instead.

 

Just pull on the bow,

Take out the stitches,

You've gained two dishcloths,

But, you've lost your....britches.

 

*** I don't know who wrote this poem, I have seen it at many many sites, I have had it in my kitchen 10+ yrs long before I ever used the internet, I got it at a local craft fair and asked the lady if I could use it if I made them and she said I could***

 

This is the poem that I attach to the britches I give away. I never sell my britches that would just be wrong

Did you make your "britches" with 2 granny square dishcloths? It's hard for me to tell from the picture. Is there a site out there with directions?

Yes, The patten I used was a simple granny square pattern. I have used any sqaure pattern in the past thou.

 

Crochet Pattern Central has some really nice patterns for squares.
