Dishcloth mania

I'm finally finished with a series of dishcloths for my mother for Christmas. Most of them are knit, but I figured, since she asked specifically for some dishcloths to match her Christmas curtains, that I should make her a star dishcloth.

 

And just to finish my obsession with dishcloths, I also made this one in Tunisian crochet, to try out the technique:

 

It turns out that I'm not crazy about Tunisian - the hook is unwieldy and the stitches are boring - but I like the texture, I think this will be a good scrubbing dishcloth.

 

How much can one really say about a dishcloth, you say? Well, apparently more than this, because I have a couple of long posts up here and here with links to the star pattern and other dishcloth patterns used (the Tunisian one is my own, in so far as it may be called a pattern).

I love dishcloths & potholders as gifts. I love the nice assortment you have. Very pretty. Everybody says they are so much better than the ones you buy. I use them myself too.

Your dishcloths are pretty. I really like Tunisian dishcloths. It has a nubby side and a smooth side, I use the reverse sc for the edging. I make all my dishcloths and wouldn't use anything else after using these.
