The hat is very pretty. I love the stitch and have used it before for (3 weight yarn) scarves and cotton potholders, but never a hat. As soon as I find some spare time between projects I'm going to give it a go. Thanks for sharing the link.

Thanks for sharing! I was crochetting a Hogwarts scarf for my son with chunky yarn with dc but I was not liking the way it looks. I will try this stitch.
