Crochet Covered Egg

I piddled around today with some size 10 thread and a steel 8 hook and came up with this life size covered egg. My intents were more when I found a carton of a dozen eggs that could either be painted, colored or drawn on. They look and feel so realistic. But life took over and I only came up with one. Maybe next year. Or, I'll just stick to painting- not so hard on my hands as thread. Oh, and sorry about the poor quality photo. Indoor pics on my phone are not that great.

It's very pretty! I love crochet covered eggs, I have a bunch of them - but I didn't make them all at once. So take your time and soon you'll have more   i have mine hung on the branches for Easter every year!

Apak: That was my original intent to hang them on a painted little branch. I used to have a set my mother and aunt made me during one of my aunt's visits from Austria, but, I don't know what happened to the set. Every Easter I would display them. Hopefully, they are packed away somewhere in the attic.
