Large Granny Square

My cousin was due to have her 2nd baby boy (her other son is 12 years old) on December 18th. I knew I wouldn't have this done in time, but I wanted it done at least by the time we went down for Christmas.. Success!! 

 

Afghan done in RHSS yarn (I'm weird about mixing & matching brands when doing afghans)

Real Teal in the middle. White, Jade then Grey Heather. 

 

It's about 36 inches square. 

 

I went back & forth between a single crochet border or SC then a round of picot, but one of my good friends from NY who also hooks, said the picot might be a bit feminine so I stuck with just the round of sc.. I like how it turned out..
