Basket & Coasters

Owlvamp yes that basket was done with single crochet (very tight). That top row (last row) was done with reverse single crochet.

Start with making a flat circle (the bottom). When is big enough stop increasing.  Than repeat each round  same number of stitches.

 Did you put a backing on these coasters?  What did you use?  Did you sew it on?

Yes I did. I cut out felt circles and hot glue them. Those coaster are not washable I spray them and that basket with 3 coats of that Scotch Guard - fabric protector. That stuff works great. Those coaster will NOT need to be washed just wiped if needed. 

I like thick coasters so they can really protect furniture.

 

About 6 or 7 years ago my daughter made a couple coasters abd she spryed them with Scotch Guard, they still look likenew. She dosn't crochet, she made them with yarn & that plastic "canvas"

PS: my computer is really "messed up" I just had to delete  few lines here. For some reason before I clicked on "post" some of the lines and words were showing up double in few places.. :(
