spare tire cover

I've been wanting to try a spare tire cover for some time and finally got around to it. It's an expansion/adaptation of Priscilla Hewitt's Snow Doily pattern made with RH Crochet Nylon Crochet Thread Size 18. I decided to go with nylon for durability, but I'll just have to see how well it stays tied on--the thread is fairly slick.

Over all I'm pleased with it and curious to see how long it will take DH to notice and comment.

Thanks for the comments! DH walked by the carport the fourth time before he saw it. He likes it, too. He was concerned about it not protecting the tire from the sun which is the big reason to have a tire cover. But I assured him that I didn't remove the solid cover, it's still there underneath.
