Flower Basket Doll-Flip Doll

I just completed this one a few days ago. Years ago my grandma (now long gone) showed me how to do these. I hadn't made one in years.

 

It is a flip doll. What looks like a cute little basket of flowers holds a hidden treasure--a little doll hidden inside it's flowers!!!

 

I have to say my photo skills do NOT match my crochet skills--maybe one day it'll catch up--

I love it! It took me back to one of my favorite dolls when I was little -- an exotic-looking fabric flip doll my dad brought back from Brazil where he was stationed for a while during WWII. She had a bandanna, too.
