Maxine from Houston here. I have been crocheting for 33 years now and I have resurrected my habit with great enthusiasm over the past two years.

 

Up until the resurrection, I had only used acrylic yarn and am now addicted to the pursuit of yarn shops everywhere I travel. My local favorite is http://www.yarns2ewe.com and I am currently favoring Manos del Uruguay wools.

I wish I could afford to use them for everything I make.

 

I made a meditation wrap for my yogi last year and have since begun making them in preparation for a trunk show at my yoga center hopefully around Thanksgiving.

 

I am also currently making a blanket as a xmas gift for a friend and I made three of them for gifts last year. My job as a salon receptionist affords me plenty of crochet time and i always have it with me. Nice getting paid to crochet!!
