Poncho's and more

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine just requested I make her a poncho.

I didn't know people were still wearing them. I was thinking

everyone was more into shawls and wraps...

Here are some of the poncho's I've made

Wow!! All your ponchos are soooo pretty!! A couple of years ago(I think), I made myself a whole bunch of ponchos. I wore them for a while, but then I noticed that no one besides me was wearing ponchos, so they are sitting in my closet!! And since, I have made myself shawls and wraps both in either crochet or knit. :)

Thanks to you all.

I only have one of these and that is the blue one

I'm wearing in that picture. All the others I sold years

ago in craft fairs. I took pictures of the best sellers.

A friend of mine was browsing my blog and found my

photo album with the poncho's...I'm making her one

in gray's and off white. Haven't started it yet but when

it's complete I'll post it.

I guess people are still wearing them. Who cares if they

are in style or not.

They are still very warm and you can wear them

around the house.

What a shame!! I love ponchos, wear them all the time and get compliments on them. Why let what other people are wearing/not wearing determine whether you wear something you like, particularly when it is something you have created yourself?

You do beautiful work! The blue one in the back yard is my favorite. I hope that's the one you kept for yourself & I hope you're still wearing it too.

Thank you so much! Yes I still have that poncho and still wear it.

They are nice and toasty in the winter time.

Very nice. :) My favorite is Winterwhite. I may try to make one like that, it would be warm to wear here in winter. :)

I really like your poncho, the blue is so pretty. I didn't know people wore them still. Are they as warm as sweatshirt? I could make some for work if so. Do they work from the top down? thanks, diane

I love ponchos! I have 2, a blue one and a cream color one. I wore the blue one Thanksgiving 2008 and someone told me that ponchos are no longer in, that shawls were.

I haven't worn them since.
