well, i ran into the same problem as saraOH, did,

Make loop (magic loop or ch3, sl st in first ch to make loop)

row 1: Ch4 (counts as dc, ch1), (ch1, dc) 4 times, turn. (5- ch1 spaces, 6 dc) this ended up being 5 dc and 5 ch1. Did i read this wrong?

so, read the whole thread and didn't see an answer.

i do like the pattern though, Julee, thanks.

hoping or is it hopping to try it.

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for bringing this up!! Don't know how I missed such a bad mistake. I edited the row below so it should work out right now. Instead of (Ch1, Dc) 4 times, it's should have been (Dc, Ch1) 4 times. Hope that helps a little!!

Thanks for letting me know!!

I've got the pattern saved so I'll go back and adjust it. I've made several by it so if there was a problem, I suppose I thought it was my fault, dealt with it and went on. I have two absolute favorite shawl patterns - this one and the seraphina. I collect lots of them but always come back to this one.

I really, really love this pattern... I made some mistakes but the pattern is very forgiving and I think it turned out well in spite of the errors. I made this as both an Easter gift and a comfort shawl for my mom who is still mourning my father's death. Like myself, my dad was a fan of bright colors and so I made this in pretty spring and summer colors and told her that it would hug her when she was lonely and cheer her when she was sad. I can't thank you enough for this pattern. Her smile really brightened my day.

am i right in thinking row 5 "dc in each ch1 space to next V st" should be dc ch1 to next V? also this means that every row increases by 4 dc (1 in each quarter) so that the wedges get bigger each row?
