Two Hearts Doily in Filet

I just had to do one more thing for Valentine's Day pattern-wise. I've never used more than one colour in filet before:

 

I had the outlines of the hearts done and got stuck. My 9yo came up with the inside designs for each heart (I told her she'd get a percentage of any sales!). I just wish I'd used a plain thread instead of an ombre for the right heart! The design doesn't show clearly enough.

Oh I like that... as much as I love variagated yarns or threads,, I agree with you yes, I would agree on this needs to be a solid color.

The outline of the design doesn't show up as well on the variegated is true.

But, it is really pretty, so the design doesn't have to show as much on that one cause the color carries the piece. Your design is very nice and I think both of the doilies are beautiful!
