I made this afghan for my ex-mother-in-law, the sweetest woman.  It was a surprise gift for no reason, other than I thought she'd like it.  She loved it!  It's made from chenille yarn.  This is the first time I've used chenille yarn, because usually it's a 6 bulky.  I found a brand that is only 5 and it's not that much thicker than worsted.  I absolutely loved working with it!  I just have to decide on my next project with the same yarn, different color.  It's so soft and feels good on the fingers as you're working with it.
