Crisscrossing Lines Afghan

Several months ago I asked for help in this forum with crisscrossing chained lines and resizing my stitches.  You all were so kind and so helpful.  THANK YOU!  I finally finished the afghan.  It's for my son's 25th birthday on Monday.

It's almost identical to the original pattern in one of the Mile-A-Minute Afghan books.   I added a red border, because I thought it would make it "pop".  I think it looks like stained glass windows.  It's hard to tell the size in the picture.  It's as big as the top of a queen size bed, upto the bottom of pillows.

Please let me know what you think.  It's the first time I've made something complicated.  All of my previous afghans are connected squares or a solid block.  It took 3 months and a few hundred hours to make.

Thanks again for all of your help!

Thank you all very much for your comments!  I gave it to my son this morning.  I think he likes it.  He still lives at home, so he saw it many times while I was working on it.  He seemed very thrilled each time he saw it.  :)
