I found this through and love the idea.

 

Just need a place to use the method.

 

I don't see anything that should make the site off limits.  If it is not a nice place just remove this post.

Interesting!  the hand drawn diagrams look like the designers' working out how to do it.  

i like the art deco style of the roses.

That's what it was it is the art deco that really caught my eye.

 

I agree about the sketching... it helps me to adapt to my little ones... would be so pretty.

Those are stunning.  Amazing how they pieced them together on that blouse.

 

The top pic reminded me of an old chenille bedspread (at my Grandma's house probably) that was mostly white but with a colorful bouquet vase of flowers in the center.  One could make surface slip stitch stems....or single appliqued flowers with leaves on a plain afghan square...

You know, they'd be pretty as just the yoke on a summer top, maybe with the body made of sheeting or some other cool light fabric.

I'm thinking a single one would make a pretty coaster, too. i think i'll give it a try just to see how it works up, size etc.

I agree, this is a lovely pattern.  Would make a beautiful table cloth or table runner.   I think a vest would work up nicely too.
