christmas skirt

Okay, my 8yr old daughter wanted a christmas dress. I guess the one from last year no longer fits. (She tells me this friday night) Well, my 5 yr old little man got sick friday night and is still sick. So I couldn't get out shopping. So, I do the next best thing. Look in my yarn stash and google and look through magazines for crochet skirts. I found 2, so on Saturday I started one, ripped it out, started again, stopped, started 2nd pattern, ripped out, started again, stopped, went back to pattern #1, then I was running out of yarn so I combined the body of skirt #1 with the waist band of skirt #2 and added fringe at bottom. She loved it! I had her fooled though and told her I was working on a christmas tree skirt. She flipped out when she found out it was for her. I got done with it monday morning. I stayed up till 11 sunday night and got up early monday to finish. She wore it to church for christmas eve service. The things moms do for their kids:)

Thank you everyone. She wore it Christmas day until mid afternnon, when the skirt took a backseat to angry bird pj's. LOL!
